Here are some sample letters to give you a general idea of what will be in the book
Dear
Harry,
How
is Hogwarts? I hope Malfoy isn’t
cracking your sanity. Is Neville Longbottom melting fewer cauldrons? Are You
Managing To annoy Dudley enough? Maybe you can cast a spell that will make him
recite expressive poetry. (Roses Are red, violets are blue…..) Is Snape going
easier on you?
How
are dobby and winky doing? (my request is
that you give them each a new pair of socks, Or else!)
The spell to make Dudley recite poetry is:
Annoying,
pesky little brat,
A child who is way too fat,
Recite poetry by poe or twain,
Do it now before you destroy my brain!
You
might want to try that on Aunt Petunia or Uncle Vernon. Is your firebolt
functioning well?
I’m
afraid I can’t send this by owl, but I hope you will make an exception.
Love,
Rachel,

Dear Harry,
You are so lucky you can ride a broom. It sounds so fun! If I were you I’d ride a lot. How does it feel to be able to use magic? Do you think it is a privilege?
The tournament you were in sounds exciting. I liked the first part of the tournament the most.
Also, Harry, we have raccoons in our house. Will you do me a favor and cast a spell to get rid of them?
I’ve never heard of anybody before with a pet owl. It must be fun! Hogwarts seems like a really neat school! (Too bad I can’t go to it.) What is your favorite subject in Hogwarts? I think mine might be the Defense of the Dark Arts. It seems your life is full of adventure.
Sincerely,
Karen

Dear Harry Potter,
I think you’re great and that you’re the most powerful wizard I’ve ever read about.
Could you do me a favor? Do you think you could cast a spell so I don’t have to clean up my room?
It’s best if the spell would make my room clean itself, but if the spell made it so my parents didn’t care, that’s ok, too.
Sincerely,
Joy
