Internships Available

We currently are offering semester and summer internships.  We are looking for a student, or recent graduate, who's interested in researching and writing books.

The person who has this position will research, organize and write books on a wide variety of subjects, as well as perform a variety of publishing-related office tasks.  It is possible that the intern will get a book published under his or her name.  (Previous interns have ended their internships with their names on the covers of books.)

Student internships are unpaid.

These are exciting—indeed unique—opportunities for a students or recent graduates who are interested in book publishing.

Interns must have superior writing, researching, and proof reading skills. You must be able to write effortlessly and with precision. We are not looking to discover a budding novelist; rather, we want somebody who’s a dogged researcher and who writes clearly and concisely. We may give a writing test.

If you are interested in an internship, send a letter and writing sample to:

We have represented Dan Rather, Mike Wallace, Dick Clark, Helen Hayes, Ronald Reagan, Nancy Reagan, Senator Gary Hart, Senator William Cohen, Jeff Smith, Mr. Food, Larry King, Mickey Mantle, Nolan Ryan, Pelé, Phil Donahue, Howard Cosell, Robert MacNeil, Sally Jesse Raphael, Steve Allen, Tom Shales, Tom Seaver,Willard Scott, America Online, Walter Cronkite, The National Wildlife Federation, Powerbar, the New York City Ballet, and others.

Most of our books are books we have created in house.  We develop the idea for a book, write the outline, then present the idea to publishers, or publish the book ourselves.  We pride ourselves on being a very creative place to work.

Interns work on evaluating book proposals and submissions, researching ideas for new books, helping to write books, general office management, preparing proposals for publishers. Interns gain a broad understanding of how book publishing works.  It's fun and exciting work.
